Jayne is a fully registered psychologist with over 30 years experience working as a psychologist in educational settings including primary schools, secondary schools and university. Jayne is a trained teacher and has consulted extensively with schools in the areas of learning, behaviour and social emotional wellbeing.

 

Jayne has developed and taught a program of learning at Masters level at UWA for teachers being trained in understanding learning difficulties, and she has lectured pre-service teachers in the theory and practice of learning, behaviour and motivation.

Jayne has well developed skills in psychoeducational assessments for Specific Learning Disorders in reading, writing and mathematics, otherwise known as Dyslexia, Dysgraphia and Dyscalculia. Jayne has a particular interest in the role of processing speed and working memory and their influence on learning and behaviour.

Jayne has extensive experience in counselling. She is a qualified art therapist and uses art therapy in combination with other therapies, particularly for individuals who find it difficult to express themselves in words.
